Westminster Chimes Full app good for
Our striking clock having ceased to operate, I sought a temporary substitute. The Westminster Chimes app has proven excellent for my purpose. Just the thing for knowing the time without looking at my watch!

This app gives a nice "human" touch to the computer with its gentle reminders about the time of day. Would be better if there was an option so that it didnt override other audio that is playing at the time it chimes.
Just something I needed for me to tell the time without having to fetch my phone put of the pocket.
I love this app and its flexibility with options. I wish there was a setting to allow or disallow the app to affect the sound of other active apps or songs.
Before the most recent update, the chimes sounded like a clock at home and I loved that. One of the changes with the update was to make the chimes sounds more realistic. Now I dont enjoy the chimes as much; they are very realistic, I have to agree, but now they have a tone and echo that is suggestive of a cathedral. This is lovely but not the kind of sound I want. Couldnt there be a choice of chime tones? "Cathedral" or "living room"? Something like that?
Anyway, as it is, it is still excellent and certainly the best of all the others out there, which is why Im giving it a 5 rather than a 4.
I was expecting the application to have more chime style including something modern and short like a bell or a gong.
What I like is the ease setup.
Some bad moments
Love the idea and the sounds are actually not that bad. The problem is they dont work. Only the spoken chime works; and since iOS10, the spoken chime does not always give the time at the top of the hour. Thanks.
Excellent sound, great options when it works. If I try to change any of the options the app stops working. Sometimes if I keep messing with it or reboot my iPhone it will start working again but not always. Then I have to wait one to three days before it starts working on its own. I have a iPhone 6 running iOS 10.0.2. Please fix this as I do love this app.
This app does not seem to be compatible with iOS 10. It has stopped working ever since I updated my operating system on my iPad. Please fix as I actually paid money to purchase your app.
For some reason now, with this new update for the Westminster chime, in iOS 9 .35, I am no longer able to use this app. I have completely uninstalled it, and reinstalled it. That doesnt work. Ive even sent an email to the developer with no response. I like this app, but its too bad I cant use it. I even paid for it. I think that this needs to be fixed for iOS 9 .35 users.
I really enjoyed this app, however with the recent OS 10 up-grade the app has stopped working. I deleted the app (full version), re-installed it, and it still fails to function. It would be nice if the designer(s)/programmer(s) examined the recent up-grade and make it compatible with iOS v 9.3.5.
This app is great! Works really well with VoiceOver. I like that you can customize the times that it plays. Wish it had more tones though.
